HORRIBLE BOSSES 2
I didn't get a chance to watch a second new release for this week, and for my final blog. But a movie night with some friends got me to see the sequel to Horrible Bosses, which was surprisingly called Horrible Bosses 2. This is the second time I've seen this movie, and so I was curious how it would be on a second viewing. Would the jokes hold up at all.
These sorts of comedies aren't really my favorite type of movie to be completely honest. Lots of people rave about these and can re-watch them any time. But for some reason I find the constant joking to be a bit tiresome especially when it's so in your face and obnoxious. Most jokes don't necessarily land and it sort of feels like the movie is begging for laughs. But I do also appreciate that it looks like the actors are having so much fun. They bounce off each-other really well, even if many scenes and quips overstay their welcome a bit in my opinion.
But for a raunchy comedy such as like I guess I wouldn't really expect anything different. The movie knows exactly what it's trying to be, and it knows exactly who it's target audience is. So that is certainly applaudable. It's not trying to be any kind of award winning movie, and it wouldn't work if it did. It knows exactly how dumb it is, and uses that to its advantage.
If you like this kind of movie, you'll like this one too. If you're not so much into these kinds of movies, you'll probably get super bored super quick.
Your blog as a whole is very interesting and you chose a good topic to write about. People want to know if a movie is worth seeing and this blog describes each movie you revised very well without spoiling the movie. You also were able to hook readers into your blog by being a more personable than normal movie reviewers are.
